Great collection of 802.11a and WiFi statistics. As Kevin Werbach notes, these are great fodder if you're going out trying to raise money for a standards-defined wireless Internet company (you know who you are!).
The good: WLAN product sales for businesses are up, as high as 175%, and will continue to grow another 60% in 2002. Security specialists, of course, have done quite well in the last few months, as 802.11x security remains the consistent bug in most business implementations.Link Discuss (via Werblog)
I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic).
