Casio's Exilim cameras are hands down the best digital cameras I've ever owned. If they have a failing, it's that when you pull out one these whisper-thin, shiny, gorgeous cameras, people start to bug you to play with it and foil your attempt to take a photo.

The latest looks even better -- so good that I'm actually salivating. Not metaphorically. Literally. Sez Gizmodo:

[The notable features] are the "Anti-Shake DSP" and enhanced video functionality. You get two different recording buttons on this unit -- one for stills and one for video -- and you can even take stills while recording video up to 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second. Not too shabby for a camera 0.63 inches thick.

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.
