The Thai government imposed a total ban on YouTube website two weeks ago, when a video deemed offensive to the Thai King appeared on the popular video sharing site. YouTube was contacted, but refused to remove the clip. Offending the royal family is a serious crime in Thailand, so the Thai government move to ban access to YouTube. The decision was slammed by international media and freedom rights groups, which lasted a few days.
The original video was removed soon after the ban was imposed, but more has sprung up and YouTube remains off limits to Internet users connecting from Thailand. YouTube has been blocked for two weeks now, with no other information.
There are ways to get around it, if you're that kind of Internet savvy. (proxy server to a foreign host)
