Edward Gorey's Trouble with Tribbles

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

I’l have to disagree with you, #1. PBF’s art is more elaborate but less Goreyesque, and Gurevitch doesn’t have Gorey’s or Garrity’s off-kilter sense of storytelling.

I don’t think Garrity really captured Gorey. There’s not nearly enough cross-hatching. The font is good, and she’s got the profiles down pretty well, but it doesn’t really make me think of Gorey.

Yawn and meh. This stuff is amateur hour compared to how dead-on Gurevitch nailed Gorey in this Perry Bible Fellowship:
