The PR people for The IT Crowd have posted two high-larious clips from this week's season finale episode to YouTube. Can't wait for the episode -- and the DVD! Clip 1 Link, Clip 2 Link

Update: Thanks to Ondre in the comments for pointing out that this season is scheduled to go eight episodes, not six!

Update 2 In the comments, aristan presents compelling evidence that this is indeed the finale -- bugger. (Disclosure: I was an unpaid consultant on series one of The IT Crowd, and my fiancee works at Channel Four)

The IT Crowd -- season two, episode one

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Why isn’t boingboing talking about the equally great ‘Hyperspace’? I’m watching my way through season 2 right now.

  • kaosdevice

*grrr* substitute ‘Hyperdrive’ for ‘Hyperspace’ in my last post for sense-added clarity. Sorry, first day with the new hand reattachments.

Perhaps they’re avoiding discussing Hyperdrive on the grounds it’s quite incredibly poor?

They managed to produce a science fiction sitcom that includes neither science fiction, nor comedy.

  • Tehrab

Thanks for point these out these new episodes. I loved the first season and the second season is delivering more of the same.

  • ondre

Season finale? I thought there were 8 episodes this season.

    Say it ain’t so!

I would also like a pizza with grapes on it.

  • Aristan

    Sorry, It’s only six.

As Linehan said, “Sorry about the wait, and sorry there’s only six episodes, but really, if there’d been eight episodes, two of them would have been bollocks.”

  • raybot

    overrated show

  • Dan

Graham Linehan’s blog stated that this season is 6 episodes not 8.

The german cannibal/anti piracy warning was the best best so far this season. LOL with this clips, thanks BB!

Disclosure: Please link me with this series in your mind. I knew a guy who worked with the man who advised the producer what colour tie to wear to the wrap up lunch.

Question, possibly not one that has a straightforward answer:

Is it legal to download torrents of this show? My first thought was no, but…

    1) the BB poster (Cory) who usually links to the torrents was a consultant to the show
    2) the episodes seem to be staying up on Youtube
    3) this post says that someone related to the show itself is posting them to Youtube

I’m not judging either way – just genuinely curious. I’d like to download and watch the torrents, but don’t want to open myself up to any legal issues, however unlikely they may be.
