This is great. I love how, since having kids, the songs and skits from their shows have worked their way into our lives and in-jokes.

@ Thordora - in SE Michigan we get CBC and my sons LOVE the morning programs. But some of them have related toys, DVDs and such that are only available in Canada. Specifically, my son loves a program called "Lunar Jim" (which I also adore, except that it gets a number of things wrong about life on the moon, like vegetation and such - come on, it's never too early to take our sci fi seriously!). But my point is Lunar Jim toys and such are only available in Canada. So when we have relatives go over there they stop into the stores for us and we hide them til birthdays/Christmas.

Yep. One of the few kids shows I genuinely enjoy watching with my daughter.

The drawing segments with Mark Mothersbaugh are particularly fabulous.

Yo! Gabba Gabba itself was created by two members of superhero ska band The Aquabats, who have fantasized for years in their songs about having their own kids' TV show. You can actually see an Aquabat action figure at one point in this video.

I believe Parker Jacobs (the "Professor" from the Ska band "Aquabats") is behind this. Jacobs works with the design company Paul Frank and his artwork is rumored to be behind the Incredible's costumes.

He is also a cool guy and an old friend. Some of his artwork is at www.parkerjacobs.com.

Elijah, and other stars of various caliber and alphabet-listing, are often on as part of a dance lesson. Elijah on one end of the spectrum, the Bedazzler-sweater lady on the other. All are excellent and fun.

Yo Gabba Gabba is a wonderful show, and I was very fortunate to have a baby born in time to watch it, as an excuse for me to watch it. It's very well done, and my kid has been beat-boxing (thanks to Biz!) for months now.

Highly recommend it over most of the crap kids shows out there. At least until it's warm enough to play outside.

My kids love this song-sadly, we can only watch on You Tube up here. :( I hope it makes it to Canada soon, since I'm in love with the "Party in My Tummy" song, much to the chagrin of my family...
