Gabriela sez, "Lawrence Lessig, renowned expert in intellectual property and founder of Creative Commons, recently changed his mission to combat the influence of money in American democracy. In commemoration of Sunshine Week, the Sunlight Foundation and Omidyar Network will host a press briefing featuring Lessig, who will announce the launch of his new 'Change Congress' project. The event will take place on Thursday, March 20 from 1:30-3:00 pm at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Seating is limited, so please RSVP soon. For those who can't attend in person, the event will also be webcast." Link (Thanks, Gabriela!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Maybe go for the religious influence in DC as well? I mean really, how many times do these guys break their own Commandments? I had a go to try and look at how they break their own Commandments in my blog at http://angryafrican.net/2008/03/09/breaking-the-commandments-republican-style/

Well, what in the hell is his political agenda? I’m thinking that he might be a libertarian with communist tendancies. Is this the kind of person that will have any effect in DC? The answer is NO.

“Change Congress” how? No hints? What would the founder of C.C. want to do with Congress? What is his political agenda?

Money has influence? How could that be? One would think, that if Boing Boing is going to promote Creative Commons, that when someone askes a few questions that are quite relevant to the post, one might get an answer. Guess it’s not that important. Is it?
