[BBTV] Leslie Hall show, SF, 03-2008

[BBTV] Leslie Hall show, SF, 03-2008 Two iphone snapshots from a recent Boing Boing tv shoot at a club called the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, which led to this BBtv episode about the bedazzling internet personality Leslie "Shazam! You're Glamorous!" Hall.

Here's Leslie Hall's online store (Hefty Hideaway), where you can buy CDs and t-shirts and stuff.

Below: click the little audio-looking widget and listen to a Leslie and the LYs song that appeared in that BBtv ep -- "BLAME THE BOOTY," remixed by Ninja Science Laboratories. How fierce is that shit, seriously?

Previously on Boing Boing: BBtv: Leslie Hall - ceWEBrity, gem sweater diva, jammer of jams.

Leslie Hall performed on the wacked out kids show Yo Gabba Gabba (the edisode is called Scary)! I’m excited that my 6 and 2 year olds have been exposed to her music, big glasses and gold cape.

  • PukeBazooka

I originally read “Leslie Hall iPhone snaps” as meaning that Ms. Hall’s iPhone had somehow snapped in half.

I’m not sure what good it is does to inform the reader that an iPhone was used to take these pics. The brand and model of phone doesn’t really seem relevant to the rest of the post. I’m sure I sound like an epic dork just mentioning this, but what the heck …

I agree with Xeni. It’s extremely Fierce. It’s going to be stuck in my head for days! Thanks and praises to NSL.

    Musicman,
I’m sure you’ve found this by now, but here you go!

    Thanks Rattmouth for posting that!

  • Chocolatey Shatner

Lotek, perhaps you are unfamiliar with the definition of the word fierce? That track was fierce like a tiger clawing my brain ! I LOVED it!

  • lotek

Chocolatey Shatner, I am familiar with it’s definition, but when people use the word in this fashion, it feels like a tiger clawed my ears (or eyes in this case). Otherwise I agree, great track.

  • jimh

    a: v fierce.

  • Greazy

Hey that’s a pretty mad track, anyone know if there’s an instrumental version of the track for purchase? those synths are awesome

  • djh8red

If you dig Leslie you should check out her uber talented brother…

Thats Mr Oizo’s Flat Beat, used by Levi’s for their Flat Eric series of commericals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d72wgT6swCA

  • Rattmouth

Hey hey hey! Lookit that! We love BoingBoing too. Thanks for the kind words everybody.

I tell ya what we’ll do… We will put up an instrumental version on our MySpace player (with a download link). I can’t promise equal awesomeness though. The music was crafted around the acapella, and I do think the vocals are where its at.

Also, that is totally not the Oizo synth bassline (although the comparison makes me super happy). That there is hand-crafted made In ‘merica woofer-wreckin’ wobbliness. =)

    Thanks again!

  • lotek

reject use of the word fierce

  • musicman

is there a mp3/torrent we can grab? Us aussies don’t have the pleasure of cheap downloads – I only want to grab it once…

  • sonoazure

Oh wow sounded totally like a tweaked around Flat Beat. Nice job!

  • Xeni Jardin

@rattmouth (and leslie hall), thanks for letting us share this on the blog!

  • Greazy

haha yeh wicked thanks rattmouth, I didnt mean to offend Miss Hall or anything, her vocals are wicked and certainly do make the track, just thought an instrumental version would go wickedly in a set im putting together, i’ll post a comment on your myspace, thats some top production, looking forward to hear some more from you guys
