A Japanese "pet architecture" book contains detailed papercraft architectural miniatures to cut out and assemble. These are gorgeous. Link

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

    Fascinating! Love it.

I love Fotomo works. I remember the first time I saw Kimio Itozaki’s works during an exhibition held in Harajuku 5 or 6 years ago!

That same architectural blog has as one of their projects a Cubby House. A playhouse for kids made from cardboard that got recycled when they were done with it. Looked like it was fun.

I love that these are very elaborate and well-designed papercraft models of what are essentially the kind of mundane buildings you will find in any Japanese town. Several remind me of my old neighborhood in Tenri.
