nice - I love Murakami, hate the covers generally, except for the original Japanese A Wild Sheep Chase cover which I have a printout of on my wall, but I see there's other nice ones too which I haven't seen before.

EDGORE - have you heard of Google? It's a very useful search tool that provides interesting tidbits of information like this

http://www.stepinsidedesign.com/STEPMagazine/Article/28770

I found that in about 7 seconds. Give it a try.

Haruki is my most favorite writer. I believe I've read all his novels that had been translated into English. But sadly, nobody bother to translate his earlier works like Hear the wind sing, Spider monkey at night etc....

I was casting about Borders earlier this year for something to read and my eye happened upon a lovely-looking book with a black cat and a fish on the cover. It was Kafka on the Shore. I had never heard of Murakami before. I took it home and devoured it in about two sittings. One of the best books I've ever read and one of the few that's ever made me cry.

I've read several of Haruki Murakami's novels extracts in The New Yorker "Fiction" section which prompted reading the full books. Great writer / Great Magazine.

Anyone have a link to the international covers for Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World?

Also, a book about book covers? Presumably conceived by Kramerica Industries.
