Happy Mid-Autumn Festival -- celebrate in nerd style with one of these moon-cake-shaped USB sticks -- 4GB for $28. USB Mooncake Flash Drive (via Neatorama)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

My late Dad would’ve been simultaneously amused and puzzled by these: I like mooncakes when they have a bright, almost neon-orange egg yolk core, surrounded by the brown paste leading to the outside. Biting expertly through half leaves one with a half-sweet, half-salty taste which is sure to please and wash down with some chrysanthemum tea.
