Cassandra C. Jones is among the artists featured in the Baer Ridgway inaugural exhibition opening this Thursday, September 4, in San Francisco. Jones creates massive photo-collage installations — hypnotic, mandala-like compositions made from "found" photographs (see image above, and below left). I'm also fond of her ambient video works made from found material, silent "re-animations" composed of countless still frames (see images below center and right). Opening reception is 5-10pm, at 172 Minna Street (right next to the SF MOMA).
