The technology that links taxonomy and Star Trek

  • Ugly Canuck

Urmas is such a great name.

  • Norfolkadam

I think I spied Megablocks in the final sequence to make the TV. Sacrilege.

  • Foolster41

Cool. My one beef is the horn SFX was kind of weird, but all around pretty faithful rendering.

  • Cefeida

What was so phenomenal about that? I mean, it’s cute, it’s cool that people are having fun and making videos but…no, that wasn’t even good. It was meh.

  • freshyill

Not bad, but the added-in sound effects were pretty awful. The screeching tires were bad enough to hear once. Also, where did he get those mangled-ass gray bricks in the music room sequence? They’ve got to be knockoffs.

  • Cefeida

I’m not crabby, I just think it’s a sucky animation. I’m also not saying it wasn’t worth your time, or that the creator shouldn’t have bothered. Sure he should have! Why not? But just because he made an effort I’m not gonna pretend I thought it didn’t suck. It was not ‘phenomenal’.

  • MarkM

    PASS.

Why are you so crabby? I thought is was fun enough to invest 30 seconds of my life. And yeah, it wasn’t new. I’d not seen it before, and I laughed. Thanks for posting it David. And buzz off all you naysayers. D’oh!

(And another thing… how can you say something is cute and cool, but not good?)

  • BlackBanana

Sweet! Too bad the $40 won’t cover the cost of the blocks. LEGOs are mad expensive.

  • Cyberwasteland

Awsome! Great job. The simpsons for ever!

  • Rich Shupe

The human hand at the end is a great touch.

  • themindfantastic

This would be good as one of their opening sequences, its pretty damn faithful!

  • mcdonough

Well done! Was that Count Dooku as the supermarket cashier?

  • trr

    Uh-oh. Somebody said LEGO*S*
    Better call the LEGOpolice.

I thought $40 isn’t much for the hours it must have taken to make a winning entry.
