Adam Green from MoveOn sez, "MoveOn.org's Peter Koechley (formerly editor of the Onion) is the brain behind a new YouTube parody series featuring Billy Merritt, driver of the Straight Talk Express. On Tuesday night, Billy released a new video about John McCain inventing the BlackBerry." Straight Drivin' Express (Thanks, Adam!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Funny stuff – - just a quick correction, the actor featured in that video is Billy Merritt (http://losangeles.ucbtheatre.com/performers/573), not Mires.

  • jacobreed

Actually – according to the YouTube page, it looks like the fictional bus driver they’ve created is supposed to be named Billy Mires (even if the actor’s last name is Merritt). My bad.

    Thanks, Jacobreed!
