I'm somewhat skeptical that the RFID tag is indeed safe from being hacked. I mean, it's fine if you want to do it, and the general idea is a great one (gunlocks from what I've heard sound too cumbersome for self defense) but still I don't think it's such a good idea because of the security aspect. You don't have to worry about losing a key or forgetting a combination, and I imagine it's more difficult for others to break in or for children to get in by accident.
