Easiest way to find out is to cut inside and see if there's a meaty filling.

I hope there is a publicized outcome to this story. It doesn't look like a mouse (a real one anyway) to me, it just looks mouse shaped.

My aunt was eating chocolate covered bridge mix once and one of the pieces was a tooth. Someone's molar. She brought it back to the store though, so we don't know what happened.

So basically, the guy gave up the "mouse" and had an independent bakery lab analyze it, and agree with the company that it wasn't a mouse, but bakery residue? Here's where I begin to question (taken from the article link): " The company has sent it to be tested at a lab to be sure"

I call shenanigans on the entire matter. It looks like a mouse, it looks like it has EYES, and regardless of having fur or not (since it was probably in the mixer, and probably BAKED off), it's a mouse.

I would have NEVER let that thing out of my sight. I would have taken more pictures, and sliced it open. Then taken pictures of innards. Bread products don't possess intestines (unless you're a fan of haggis).

"...eating chocolate covered bridge mix...molar..."

Well it WAS bridge mix after all. I would have returned it because I didn't get someone's bridge in it. ;)

Ugh... Even though this doesn't look furry enough to be a real mouse, I'm just about moused-out for a month. There was a news report of this family finding an entire mouse inside their block of cheese.

Even though the irony is blatant (and rather funny), my appetite is not yet back to normal.

Cutting it open is the only way they'll know for sure!

For the record though, mice and various bugs do show up in commercially packaged bread. I don't even have to say "a friend of a friend saw it". I was there when she sliced open a loaf. GROSS.
