Going on the description given here, there does seem to be a bit of, let's say, <i>overlap</i>. Having said that, though, I couldn't make it through even this post. I'm allergic to such phrases as 'I took a course at Oberlin called "Theorizing Race, Class, Gender, and Sexuality in Contemporary Capitalism..."' I have to admit, I don't understand her or what drives her to write as she does, but I definitely enjoyed Scarecrow - why? I'm not sure. - It was written beautifully, but it was really dark - and I'd have to say ugly. I know its weird to say something is both beautiful and ugly, but I can't think of any other way to describe it. I do know that I'm going to look it up and read it again when I'm done posting. There's no doubt Munson is a great writer and I'm positive that I'm not in her target audience.
