We like both of these ABC sets for very different reasons. The modern design deck by Jen Renninger is hip, modern, retro, and old school, all at the same time. Love it! And the Star Wars characters set by Michael Fleming appeals to our sci-fi, geek sensibilities.

The technology that links taxonomy and Star Trek

No, chalk that up to a guestblogger goof. I just fixed the code, those links should be working momentarily. Sorry about that and thanks for pointing it out!

To point out, the Star Wars alphabet is called Aurebesh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurebesh#Writing

Just like “alphabet” comes from “alpha” and “beta,” “aurebesh” comes from “aurek” and “besh,” the first two letters in the alphabet.

No R is for Rietveld ???

I’ve had an Aurebesh font on my PC for a while now, and I can recognize a lot of the characters.

Yet I still can’t learn Spanish.

You guys having server issues? I get 404 errors when I go to look at the previous posts (like the Mad Scientist’s Illustrated Alphabet Blocks, not sure how I missed those!).
