I hadn't known that painter Mark Ryden had collaborated with the late Japanese fashion designer/director/artist Nagi Noda on a line of clothing called "Broken Label." According to Creativity Online, Noda, who was only 35 when she died late last year, was wearing her Ryden dress when she passed away. More images of the collection at the LA Weekly and Arrested Motion. (Thanks, Kirsten Anderson!)

Hackers prepare for first "national holiday" in their honor

Frankly speaking, that fashion show is really “disturbing” but unique. It really feels like a dream and nightmare such like the film ‘The Cell’ by Jennifer Lopez.

  • Phikus

@1: -Just like all of Ryden’s work. Me like!

Can has a guy’s “bowling shirt” of his design?

  • David Pescovitz

PHIKUS @2, that’s a great idea. I’d love an Aloha shirt with that print.

  • Phikus

David@3: Who do we submit the idea to? You got a way to contact Mark? =D

  • David Pescovitz

    Just emailed him! : )

  • Phikus

I know of at least one great shop here in Austin that would love to carry his stuff (Atomic City.) They specialize in way cool art, toys, shoes, and “aloha” shirts. It was there I got one of Ryden’s books, so though I want to be the only guy in town sporting Ryden-wear, I’d be happy to pass along the info to Prince (the owner) if he decides to make them available, to support the decision to go into a Men’s line. I’m sure you will link it here if that comes to pass. Thanks!

  • Phikus

@7: Wow, lacking aesthetic sense and shouting at the same time. That’s respect.
