It's their kid, and I don't know the first thing about parenting- but it seemed a strange gift for someone presumably too young to appreciate the ironic. Maybe I just find the idea of a (what- 8 year old?) having a sophisticated sense of irony depressing. That’s a really cool cake, but am I the only one who thought it was a kind of strange thing to do for a kid that young?
