Old-school bOING bOING pal Alan Rapp, now a grad student in New York at the School of Visual Arts' Design Criticism program, helped curate a stellar lineup for their heady Spring 2009 lecture series. For example, on March 17, New York Times perfume critic Chandler Burr will present on "Invisible Design: The Structure of Scents;" on April 3, Natalie Jeremikenko will talk about "re-imagining our relationship to natural systems and material culture;" and on April 14, Geoff Manaugh, author of the fantastic BLDGBLOG, will speak on "designing the post-terrestrial." The talks are free, but please RSVP. Sometimes I wish I lived in New York City. D-CRIT Spring 2009 Lecture Series
