nom nom song: screengrab

Link to video. It is cute, and it is kid-safe, and it may make you hungry. For what the bunnies are eating, or, heck, maybe for the bunnies themselves. (Thanks, Allison Kingsley, via John Walsh!)

The technology that links taxonomy and Star Trek

  • Xopher

I sent a couple of young friends the “Dramatic Readings” link, and then this one as a unicorn chaser. I’m going to send this to as many people as possible.

I want everyone I know to understand exactly what I mean when I say “nom nom nom.”

  • Egypt Urnash

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This was EXACTLY what I needed after a day full of grumpiness! I couldn’t stop giggling while I watched this.

  • wylkyn

I meant that I can’t get them to post the actual video, as a suggested link. I did get some love by pimping it in comments, but I don’t understand the process of submitting a link I guess as all the links I have ever submitted go unnoticed. That sounded more bitter than I intended, but I love BoingBoing. I just wish it didn’t feel like the unrequited loves I had in high school…

Oh, BB…why don’t you love me back! *sob*

  • dculberson

Random_Tangent, I owe you a beer if you’re ever near Columbus, Ohio.

  • Anonymous

The animals are adorable! The music is AWFUL.

    • Antinous / Moderator

      Anonymous,

You might want to turn the sound off when you watch He’s A Cat – Flushing A Toilet!

  • Random_Tangent

More of Parry Gripp’s Meme-related (mimetic?) music videos here:

Visit his websites and buy some CDs/Digital Music Tracks/8-tracks:

Okay, I kind of have a thing for Parry Gripp’s music. I am unapologetic.

  • pinch

Mood improved. As for the song: it’s terrific. After five seconds you can sing along.

  • Schratboy

    Rabbit is very tasty.

  • certron

I… I almost feel dirty doing this, but…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsMFyo8DWs4

It’s OK, you only have to watch the first 28 seconds. On a side note, I am still trying to figure out if the video is gross pandering or tactical strike genius.

  • phlingpong

puts om nom nom nom to shame.

  • Takuan

    please! the zombie mash-up!

  • Chad

    I think I need a goatse chaser.

  • freetardzero

Damn site is blocked by Websense, the ‘tards.

  • wylkyn

@Xopher…Yeah, I get that. And I know this is their blog. I didn’t mean my previous post to sound too petulant. I have enjoyed BoingBoing for a long time. I would hate to see it degenerate into a midden heap of indiscriminate links.

But veering away from my daughter’s little video for a bit, the only other link I have ever suggested (more than once) is one to my brother’s artwork. (www.paulpitsker.com) I certainly think his skill and subject matter is interesting enough for BoingBoing. And the kind of exposure their blog could give would be nothing but helpful, considering how hard he’s struggling. I just wish that there was some way to get them to show off his incredible work. But that’s the arts, I guess. Always trying to get someone to notice. At least he is showing and selling which is more than some artists get to do.

But I’ll keep pimping in the comments when I can. :)

  • thelimopit

This video is racist for its failure to include puppies.

  • Anonymous

It should be noted this is also the guy responsible for the opening and closing song used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

  • Ignatz

OK, who else is hearing the old Burger King jingle in the first few bars? “Bunny burger, extra lettuce, special orders don’t upset us!”

On second thought, this is obviously a devilbunny recruiting video. ParryGripp must be a symp, unless he’s actually one of those fiendish toe-nibbling creatures…

  • straponego

I don’t see what’s so great about this. That bunny was clearly autotuning.

  • Random_Tangent

    #10:
Don’t forget about Charlie and Steve! They helped!

  • Anonymous

Cuteness has apparently been weaponized and set to music that sticks in your head like epoxy resin poured into your ear.

I’m not sure if I approve or not…

  • dorkhero

So is there an opposite of the ‘unicorn chaser’?

Something angry and bitter that will wash all this sugar and cuteness from my tortured mind?

    Please help!

  • Wingo

    Overload!!

    @dorkhero – I think Chad #7 has what you’re looking for.

  • speonjosh

I think this is why the internet was invented.

  • skatanic

Ok, why are people putting eyeliner on rabbits, cause that bunny’s eyes are unreal.

  • Takuan

    chaser?

  • kiddr01

i’m definitely a fan of the om nom nom meme. i could swear its origins are b3ta related

  • Andrea James

As #3 sez, song and idea lifted from ParryGripp!

  • wylkyn

Hey, since I can’t get any love from Boing Boing for my daughter’s animation:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14AV5G7Ry3s

Cute and strange, and no annoying soundtrack!

  • Takuan

whatchewtalkinbout? Your daughter’s cute animation was mentioned before in previous comment thread and complimented upon too!

  • GauchoAmigo

This could be the new Flaming Lips single!

  • Deidzoeb

“It is cute, and it is kid-safe, and it may make you hungry. …”
But if you go down too far to click, it’s INSIDE GUANTANAMO!

    Those poor, poor bunnie combatants.

  • Xopher

Wyklyn, the Boingers post what they like. I’ve suggested many a link, none of which has been posted (well, not quite true: one was suggested by many people and they probably were planning to post it before I suggested it).

I don’t know how many suggested links they get, but I suspect it’s more than the Boingers collectively can look at. And the Boingers’ choices are the thing that makes this blog theirs, and not ours. If they posted every suggested link…well, all I have to say is I probably need to thank FSM that they don’t!

  • Bryan Price

This isn’t about this post technically, but can we PLEASE go over the ads that appear on the RSS feed? The latest ads about National Geographic and their stupid (I’d say hideous, but I’m not in the mood to even think about watching it) flash is enough to drive me crazy (it’s not just this site, it’s others that use pheedo too.). This post got picked because it was the one with today’s ad tacked on to the end.

Yes, for those talking about it, I have Flashblock and AdBlock installed (but I still get the big FlashBlock picture) and I’ve gotten so that they are blocked, but the text portion isn’t.

    • Xeni Jardin

Bryan, I wasn’t aware of this, thanks. Alerting our ad support team.
