I have this little guy, and although he's adorable, he isn't an ice pack at all. You stick him in the fridge, not the freezer. So while cute, he isn't that useful.

Had it since my 4-year old was 2, she loves it it's really comforting for the little bruises; colder would be a bit harsh for her. Not huge use for the grownup aches and pains though.

Isn't that useful? For a small child's minor scrapes and bruises, the placebo effect can be panacea!

We've got him and also a Mr Happy and they live in our freezer - very good for bangs on the head and such.

We've had one of these for a while, and it's been great as a placebo. In fact, we went through a period where my 3-year-old would refuse to be soothed by anything we could do, because even the most minor knock or scrape "needs Mr. Bump"!

One word of warning though: we've found that the seal around the edge can be a little fragile. Ours got damaged around one hand quite quickly, letting the internal gel (hopefully safe!) ooze out.
