I saw the Art of Bleeding at NIMBY in Oakland a day or two after the Throbbing Gristle Show. They did a great performance on the subject of Fire Safety. So funny, so disturbing, I can wait to see them again.

    LOL^2

I was watching the CTV NewsNet (similar to CNN Headline News) on Saturday. The top story: Manitoba pig farmer kills 500 pigs on quarantined farm. Long video clip of Provincial chief veterinarian explaining that the pigs were killed and the meat destroyed not because of H1N1 type A, but to prevent overcrowding at the farm where they have been quarantined since April 28. Followed by long reporter near farm – anchor chat.

Fifteen minutes later, the last story before sports was a bus accident in PEI with one fatality involving 30 peewee hockey players that occurred that morning. Running time around 20 seconds with a simple map graphic only. No viz or reporting at all.

Am I the only person who thinks that coverage of this whole flu thing is completely nuts?

    No.
