Yeah, dammit! I’m all about bad logos. I want to see this site!

  • TroofSeeker

Come on, dig a little deeper. I’ve seen much worse logos than those.

  • apoxia

I bet he could get done for misrepresenting himself as a doctor if he lived in New Zealand. Unless he is a real doctor…

    • Antinous / Moderator

We have a local locksmith called the Lock Doctor who has a fleet of fake ambulances. I wish they’d get busted. People keep pulling over when they see them in the rear view mirror.

  • sgreddin

Oh wow. I love this logo. :D

  • Mark Frauenfelder

OK, you are right. This logo is awesome.

  • Neon Tooth

Glad to see like minded others. My first thought was “Ugly?!”

I like/like-like/love that logo! It’s better than 90 percent of the logos out there. I’m a graphic designer. Therefore, you have to trust me. If I was a pool doctor, you’d have to trust me regarding your pool. That’s how life is.

  • Anonymous

I actually live in Oklahoma City. And I can say, despite his horrid logo, the Pool Doctor is the best in town!

  • HurfDurf

#2, I believe it is. 4 different fonts and the last one is the much-hated comic sans? Plus all that “barf”. Believe it.

  • Sam Rothenberg

Know what makes me barf? Domain names that are sentences.

  • Anonymous

there’s already an much better—though unintentionally so—version of this: http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/Jetty+Powered

  • franko

i like the part where it looks like he’s up to his neckline, swimming in your pool.

  • VICTOR JIMENEZ

Hey, I actually like that logo.
    It´s concise and literal.
    XD

Is it a kidney shaped pool or a real kidney? The Pool Doctor won’t guarantee won’t say.

  • Sethum

I don’t understand. What does that giant amoeba have to with being a pool doctor? Does he listen to what your pool bacteria are saying, like Dr. Doolittle?

Or is that a hairy lima bean? And the guy is giving it a buzz cut with an electric razor powered by ear wax?

That logo’s too deep for me.

  • Antinous / Moderator

Now that I can see the website, the Pool Doctor seems charmingly folksy. Some of the others look like they wanted a logo that looks like a tattoo that makes them look like they work at Orange County Choppers.

  • caldrax

There are much worse over there.

I hope to god the website’s own logo is intentionally ironic because it’s terrible.

  • gabrielm

    Is that Charlton Heston?

  • frenchtoastkiss

I’m gonna jump on the bandwagon here…Bad example of an ugly logo! It’s cute, he’s totally checking that baby pool’s heartbeat and breathing. Personally, I would love to have such a caring man look after my pool if I had one. Unless he’s a giant…Cause also, that water horizon line makes it look like he’s a giant sea monster doctor whose brain is fueled by chlorine, and he’s sucking all the water out of that pool, which is somehow the only inhabitant of that sparse, sandy island it’s on. Yeah, there’s a lot going on in that image. Really makes ya think…

  • Antinous / Moderator

    Boinged.

Can any of you SEE this “logo”? Seriously. I mean, yes, it is a cute, well done illustration, but it is not a LOGO. How the hell would you embroider this on a shirt? What does it look like on a business card or envelope? Can you reduce it down to an inch for reproduction purposes? For pure kitsch factor, sure. Other than that? No.

  • pauldrye

I think we made their server barf.
