Video of people watching porn

Robbie Cooper's "Immersion: Porn" builds on his earlier work making video-recordings of gamers playing their favorite games; only this time, it's people talking about their relationship to pornography intercut with amazing, intimate footage of their faces as they watch the porn they enjoy.

"their faces as they watch the porn they enjoy."

They aren't just watching....

Yes. And I'll take a window seat right next to you on the trip to hell, watching the same thing.

You are just missing half of the fun. XD

I wonder if this is exactly the right boingboing entry, or exactly the wrong one, for recovering-from-internet-porn-addiction me to have stumbled upon? :)

Cant remember the URL, but similarly, if more, well, explicitly, there's a website that has only video of people climaxing.. just their faces and perhaps upper torso.

Mostly its pay, though, with a few "freebies."

I can't shake the feeling that these folk are putting on for the camera... at least a little bit.

Who knew zombies were constantly aroused?

The third girl was kind-of unintentionally funny--talking about how easy-access porn has messed us up as a society and then jump-cutting to her rubbing one off to porn online. :D

@3 I suspect you might be correct. Unless the documentary team were feeding 200v through the chair while they were watching.

They are not watching porn. They are masturbating while watching porn.

Is it too difficult to be factual about the articles being posted?

@11 : zombies... greatest comment yet.

I don't remember who said that porn will never be glamorous because masturbation is not glamorous. True.

Still, the humanity of it is troubling.

Is it Meta that I was spanking to watching them spanking watching porn?

Wait... #7 Porn addiction is *real*... well, I Know it's "real", but really an addiction? In the DSM-IV sorta way. I thought it was something moraltards created to make people feel bad about porn & wanking, whilst inadvertently diminishing the importance and difficulty in understanding, y'know, real addiction.

At least that's what a Google search on the topic seems to suggest.

And I gotta applaud these folk. I'd never let my wank face get captured, mainly because I don't want to see it, ever ever ever. Why distract from such a fun thing with thoughts of that image? Ay!

I love the second girl saying "porn has gotten so expletive."

Very true. :)

NSFW tag, please. This is a video of people masturbating.

Captcha: however dying

I'm shocked that anyone else is shocked to find out that wanking would be going on in the video. Not to be insulting or anything, but did you need an "O-faces" label on the pics above the video?

Watching != Wanking

Tzctlp, seems to me the title was completely factual. Just not as specific as you might like.

@20: Porn addiction is related to sex addiction, either of which I'm sure there's a DSM-IV classification for. There's plenty of Sexaholics Anonymous groups out there (of which I'm a member) so yeah, it's relatively real.

#24 - exactly great collection of "O faces" which, I suppose, is better than the "Q face"

(tongue hanging out)

The Q sign is used in the recovery room. If you're still making it, you're not ready to be released yet.

I couldn't help but laugh at the second girl:

"...you have these girl's with huge daddy issues, who will do these horribly disgusting things just for male attention"

@28: There's no DSM-IV classification for porn addiction or sex addiction, and for good reason.

There are plenty of creationism groups out there too...

From my exhaustive (read: 4 hours) reading of people journals and help sites for porn addiction, it seems that it's tied not just to 'sex addiction', but more importantly to Christian marriages where the guy simply can not stay faithful and the lady can't possibly face facts that he ain't worth keeping.

Also: it was a very sad and depressing few hours. So many people intent on controlling themselves in ways that are not natural and very damaging (clearly) to their self esteem.

Gotta love God, seems sad that it means you can't really love yourself if you do though. At least in the upright, morally correct, "good Christian" sorta way.

I suppose that is why it is so nice when you do finally find a Christian who seem to understand that loving God doesn't mean having to hate your natural, very human, God-given urges.

I think the real addiction here is contemporary America's need to share their most intimate moments in the name of being liberated or "embracing your sexuality" or whatever it is.

Dignity is a lost virtue.

This is such an interesting project, I love that the subjects are so honest and open in their discussions. It's really well shot too, beautiful lighting and colours.

It reminds me of www.beautifulagony.com, same principle with the frank discussions of sexuality - true erotica!
