21st Century Literacies (Thanks, Howard!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). Interesting premise and very interesting subject matter, which makes it a real shame he’s not a particularly capable public speaker (or came to this talk more concerned about making a fashion statement than preparing for the talk).
