Phil sez, "Errol and Pifie, two members of the 50 Songs in 90 Days songwriting challenge (known as 50/90) have created a nerd-core masterpiece. A rockin' walkthrough to the original ZORK text adventure game."

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

I case you’re not aware of it, you should also look up “It is pitch dark” (yes, dark, not black) on Youtube. It’s an interactive fiction song by MC Frontalot.

Oh THAT’s what you’re supposed to do there… well that explains everything.

Great song, but I don’t think there was anything about Zork that really merited this super stacatto delivery. I think it would have been funnier if it was all moody like Leonard Cohen or better yet William Shatner. I’d at least like to be able to understand more than every 5th word.

That’s not to say I don’t love it. I can almost feel the big stiff keyboard under my fingers and the green on black screen.
