This sort of collaborative video seems to be becoming a bit of a trend.

Prior to this there was the Kutiman video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tprMEs-zfQ), the theremin Gnarls Barkley video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW0B1sipLBI), Flight of the Concords did something similar - I can't seem to find it though :( - and I just saw that Pepsi jumped on the bandwagon and released a tool to let people create these sorts of videos too (http://www.youtube.com/refresheverything).

I'm really curious to see where this leads...it seems a bit of a (unintended?) slippery slope for the labels/artists that are letting this happen. I hope it's a sign that they are growing more comfortable with letting their fans remix/repurpose content and build on their art. Or maybe I'm putting too much meaning behind this stuff...but I'd love to think this is a baby step that will lead to more openness and flexibility in copyright when it comes to music...

That is amazing! I love the creativity that people have. I am left feeling rather imagination-challenged, since I have no idea how they did all that unless they just used a ton of coordination, but even that would have been a challenge! Wow!

Remember when Boing Boing used to have new stuff? I do.

This video is so old it was already plagiarized on a TV ad here in Brazil.

Remember when Boing Boing was "A directory of wonderful things"?

Truly amazing! I think it's best I couldn't immediately figure out how they pulled it off. Ok, I still don't know.

New to me, but everybody knows that America being hip is so last century. Besides, anything not in English has to be absolutely transcendent to get us to pay any little bit of attention.

That said, that video was _amazing_! I'd be interested to know how it was coordinated. Then again, maybe not... perhaps my life is happier just gawking in wonder at the spectacle.
