james-Kuhn.png James Kuhn is a Michigan-based artist who likes to paint his own face in the most intricate, creative ways. I love the one where he puckers up to represent a dog's butt. I've always wondered what my mouth would look like as an anus. james-kuhn-awesome-face-painting-american-gothic-kiss.jpg James Kuhn's Flickr via Web Urbanist

I’m going to send this to people who insist on sending me those photos of people who paint American eagles on their hands, impersonate kissing goldfish, and even, yes, the guy who does the anamorphic sidewalk chalk drawings, just because I teach art history. Focus will be on the dog butt.

“I’ve always wondered what my mouth would look like as an anus.”

Easily the quote of the day.
That needs to be on a T-shirt.

  • yri

    Imaginative, yes, but… um… ewww.

It must be somewhat terrifying to see that dog’s butt talk…

we’ve seen more intricate body painting, but done to one’s own face, that is pretty impressive, and weird.

  • weatherman

Very creative stuff. I love the Kiss one.

I remember back in high school, one of the more ‘creative’ kids had chocolate pudding for lunch. He scrunched up his hoody so the hood was tight on his face, with a little hole, and then smeared the chocolate pudding all around the rim. “I’m an asshole!”

  • Halloween Jack

That’s great stuff. At first, I thought that they were masks, and then went “Oh, wait…”

re: terrifying dog anus talking: Mouth wide open = dog goatse? dogoatse? dogse?

In fact, if he just put his hands in his mouth and pulled it open, well… *shudder*

awesome! I especially like the Kiss one! :D

  • UncleLaszlo

Reminds me of the Opéra de Montréal’s ad campaign where they use “regular” people’s faces… In fact, there’s even a contest for next season! (Sorry, it’s only in French)

If you like these, by all means check out the artist’s flickr page linked above. These four photos only scratch the surface of what this guy does. (And he’s not paying me to say this! Really!)
