"Frat boys get abused worse during pledge week in college than that crap [at Abu Ghraib]. But it's what the media made of it. What the hell do you think they're gonna make of this?" Interrogation tapes for 3 decorated Army sergeants charged with the murder of 4 Iraqi detainees.

Hackers prepare for first "national holiday" in their honor

  • IamInnocent

After the ‘logic’ of these men, the Iraqis should hunt them down and kill them like dogs since, at the rate things are going in the US for convicted criminal soldiers, they’ll be out on the streets in a few years at most.

This being said I believe that any pretense of keeping war clean is a preposterous lie which only purpose is justification of the unjustifiable.

  • drtwist

Is that what’s wrong with frat boys? PTSD?

  • voline

Amen, IamInnocent. As the judges at Nuremberg said (paraphrasing), aggressive war is the greatest war crime because it contains all others.

  • Anonymous

Yep, frat boys undergo worse situations than murder!

    Wait… what?

If their concerns were valid, the soldiers could have popped the shooters in the room where they found ‘em. That’s a legitimate act of war/counterinsurgency – find the guys shooting at you and kill them. You can do it even if they are attempting to surrender, all you have to do is have a legitimate belief that their surrender is feigned, a belief these soldiers claim that they had.

When you capture them, disarm them, drive them to a secret killing field and murder them, that is no longer warfare. It’s organized crime.

One of the accused, 1SGT Hatley was all over the republitard sites not so long ago as the heroic point man throwing fellow US soldier Scott Beauchamp under the bus for whistleblowing bad behavior by the military.

The right’s promotion of Hatley’s kneecapping of his fellow soldier took place after the murders in question.

Frats that get caught engaging in that level of hazing tend to get sanctioned by the university, kicked off campus, and referred to law enforcement authorities as appropriate. Comparison FAIL.
