They just look like little voids with eyes. But in person they totally fit that super-affectionate black kitty mold. If anything, they're so affectionate that it borders on creepy. You haven't lived until you've woken up in the middle of the night to find a kitty standing on your chest, staring at you, and purring. They're the hardest to get adopted at the Humane Society because of stupid superstitions, plus they're really hard to photograph well (so no cute Adopt Me! photos to lure people in). When we got ours, she was the only kitten in the place--all the other cats were special needs cats which we couldn't realistically take on. She reached out from the cage to touch us and that was that. Black cats are the best (with apologies to our other two non-black cats).
