Ryan sez, "Geeky clean sells soap with d20's embedded in the center. I'm getting these for a few of my paper and pen game friends."

Geeky Clean! -- Soap with d20s (Thanks, Ryan!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

“..a few of my paper and pen game friends.”

Get them a white-board table-top, and a box of markers. They’ll love you forever.

Maybe there would be a market for dice that yell “YOU STINK YOU STINK” in a dalek voice when you roll them.

Just occurred to me: It’s a “Health Bar”.

So one has to actually bathe in order to get the die. It’s brilliant!

  • Anonymous

    Bathe. The word is bathe.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine made her own d20-embedded soaps as gifts when we had a reunion of co-workers from a defunct game company.

Lots of d20 stuff showing up. Check out the Stained Glass d20!

Actually, you just keep the dice in the soap, you have a 50% chance to get a natural 20 by throwing it…

    • earbox

Slightly less than 50 percent…it could, after all, land on edge.

For exfoliating you’re better off with d4 soap.

Well, I know what everyone in my gaming group is getting for xmas.

Provided shipping isnt $6 PER ITEM, because that’d be ridiculous.

  • liquidcola

I almost bought the two-pack for $8.00. Seemed like a good deal. Then I found out shipping would be $6.00, which seems pretty ridiculous. Anyone know where I can buy these without getting reamed on shipping?

I was at a gaming con in Seattle in 1999 or 2000, and someone had hung a sign in the men’s washroom that said, “Repudiate a gamer stereotype – Bath!”.

By the evening of the second day (when some of the stereotyped gamers did indeed need to bath…) the sign was gone. Pity.

Perhaps conventions could hand out this soap in their conpacks, as a “subtle” reminder and hint?

i made an order for 4 soaps, and it was $6 for shipping. not too bad..ive seen worse on ebay
