I know that the rest of the country gets snow at least once a year but in the Thames Valley we hardly ever get it. I can count about 6 or 7 times in my entire life. Now we've had it 3 separate times in the past year: February 09, December 09 and now January 10. What I've observed (which isn't much of a surprise for northerners) is that because the newspapers and tv news are based in London, its only big news when it hits the South East. However, this is some treacherous snow, topping that of the recent ones by far. Hopefully soon we shall get over it and learn to deal with it instead of the entire country going on stand still.
