Amnesty: Full inquiry into UK complicity into torture post-9/11

Fiona from Amnesty International sez, "Amnesty International is calling for a full, independent and impartial inquiry into UK involvement in human rights abuses overseas post-11 September 2001 with a report that outlines ten key questions that an inquiry should seek to answer.

The report describes some of the abuses we believe the UK Government have been involved in since 9/11.

It also details why we don't believe this involvement was limited to a few 'rogue' agents, but that policies and practices put in place after 9/11 led directly to our involvement in grave human rights abuses.

Furthermore the Government's response to these charges has been one of secrecy and denial, despite credible evidence emerging to prove the accusations.

This is only a brief overview – the full report is here (PDF). A related action people can take is here."
