Hmm. I’m guessing you never listened to ‘Metal Box’. And, no disrespect to the excellent bands of the 80s you casually dismiss (let alone to the excellent bands of the 21st century, such as The xx), but surely the bigger issue is how many of the many bands from Europe are actually going to be able to make it?

i wish youtube still had the full version, especially when huell visited the coachella steampunk treefort, but alas, it is no more. words can not describe the bizarreness of huell’s pbs california road trip show, “california gold.” watch as hank hill explores coachella to discover an oasis of propane and propane accessories, i tell you what; meanwhile, the fun and interesting stuff bubbles teasingly out of view from the camera.

Not that my voyeuristic urges aren’t being adressed with this livestream, but the images themselves are as remote as they can possibly be from my concept of a music festival.

where is this oasis at merv griffin’s house in relation to coachella?
is it actually on the concert site in some roped off area?
are people leaving the concert to hang out at merv’s then go back to coachella?
