I’ve been wondering if anyone will follow up on the fact that Shimon Peres’s son owns the only Apple importer in Israel, and his firm was consulted by the ministry of communications in implementing the ban? The ministry stated that publicly. Aren’t there anti-nepotism/self-dealing laws in Israel? Perhaps not.

I was actually proofreading an article today in a weekly newspaper about this, and it did mention the possibility of nepotism being involved.

Maybe they were confiscating the iPads to donate them to schools in Gaza?

Obviously they confiscated enough for everyone in Customs to have one and then stopped.
