    Ironically if you nail the guy, the conditions there get worse. If you legalize the drug, then he can’t make big profits and the conditions also get worse.

    I recently met an estate agent who sells repossessed properties in NW England. He claimed to have sold a ready-to-use crack den (steel shutters, barred windows etc) to a ‘Mr Cockaigne’, who paid in cash.

    It was probably being slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit at an early age that drove him to crime.

    Interesting to note that this guy apparently provides a better infrastructure – daycare centres, medical clinics, and banking facilities – than the official government can from their drug revenues.
