Me: And I always thought that I slipped through these lines anonymously.
TSA Officer: Don't worry. No one will notice. This isn't the sort of job that rewards competence, you know.

A cute story. And a reminder that, no matter how gross their incompetence seems, TSA workers are just people too. Some of whom even frequently the same internet circles us ‘netizens do.

The TSA gets demonized a lot (and with reason), but its still good to keep this in mind.

Does the phrase “sitting around with your thumb up your ass” mean anything to you? It’s a statement about the utter incompetence of TSA.
