I caught an episode of this show on adultswim.com the other day and decided to buy the DVDs. To my dismay, the DVDs were not out yet (despite the first series being out in the UK for 8 years) and Amazon wants a whopping $18.49 to preorder it. I ended up going to the UK Amazon instead and bought the DVDs several weeks ago for only £5.99 each.

I'm a little disappointed. The Region 1 DVD is the first season only, so even with the supplemental material it totals a short 71 minutes. Couldn't they have added some more extras, like real vintage British science films (those have to be public domain), and why no season 2?

The kind of films they are based on (Open University) were made in the 70s/early 80s, so they're not in the public domain. In fact, they still get shown (or were still being shown 6-7 years ago)...

That's indeed Olivia. I've had a crush on her since she sat on Mark's hand on the bus. She doesn't look too flattering in that hideous jumpsuit though. Funny lady.

I love the contest they have for what music will sound like far in the future (the year 2000)...

This is my favorite. The others are great too.
