Popular Mechanics has the full story on this video of a Russian tank ballet, one of the performances held at a Russian arms show last month. (thanks Rob Goodier)
I have to say, the second video on the linked Popular Mechanics page is a lot more bizarre ranging from costumed medieval warriors to attack dogs and jumping tanks.
You have to wonder if there was a theme tying it all together, or just some odd hodgepodge nationalistic talent show.
The tank jumping is apparently what you do when you’ve outgrown a cinder block, plywood and your dirt bike in the driveway. :)
So when do we get the high speed version set to yakety sax?
Reminds me of the Ithaca Festival, where the do something similar. Except of course they use Volvos instead of tanks, and they actually dress them up in tutus.
I’ve always liked the Excavators Ballet.
Much more synchronized.
7:30 and they don’t even fire any missiles?! I want my money back…
Our Russians tank the most powerful in world! ha ha ha
I think what can be deduced from this video, is that unlike the US, Russia hasn’t gone completely nuts yet. Had this been in the US, every single camera would have been confiscated, and we would never have seen it.
