Boing Boing pal Mark Day at YouTube sends word of two very interesting fan-film projects:

Following on from the Star Wars scene-by-scene fan remake, there's a Footloose one in the offing: YouTube link, and project website here.

And, perhaps more interestingly, Brandon "ArtieTSMITW" Hardesty is remaking Monty Python and the Holy Grail, scene-by-scene, all by himself. He's the guy who did the Hitler Downfall recreation.

He's releasing it on his website first, but the first scene is also up on his YouTube channel.

Arthur, King of the Britons, Defeater of the Saxons, Sovereign of All England—in a Burger King hat. Great jumpin' Jehova, this is a thing of greatness.

Boing Boing editor/partner and tech culture journalist Xeni Jardin hosts and produces Boing Boing's in-flight TV channel on Virgin America airlines (#10 on the dial), and writes about living with breast cancer. Diagnosed in 2011. @xeni on Twitter. email: xeni@boingboing.net.

There is an awesome one man remake of Rambo called “Flooding with Love for the Kid” by Zachary Oberzan.

    Nice coconuts!

  • ToddBradley

The thing that impressed me most about the coconut scene wasn’t the authenticity of the editing, or even the really good accents. It was how well the actor imitated the voices and delivery style of Chapman, Cleese, and Palin. The two Frenchmen sounded like two different people.
