Fortunately it seems to be available on YouTube too:

Lovely, but do i prefer zombie flicks that don't take the subject matter too seriously (like Shaun of the Dead)

Why would anyone sit through episode after episode of depressing zombie drama? It's the cliffhangers, of course! By the way, was there any fuel left in that tank? ;)

did they really have to start with this "waking up in a hospital" cliche?

It's a staple to move forward very rapidly through time and drop a character into suddenly changed world:

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SleptThroughTheApocalypse

Going back further, Rip Van Winkle, etc.

Why in the world has it taken so long for somebody to do this? I guess the networks couldn't get away with doing this kind of R-rated violence, but if it's any good at all it'll attract a great audience. Since the genre in film has always ever been single-story pictures, it'll be awesome to see how they do a zombie epic (haven't read the graphic novel).

I didn't really mind the waking-up-in-the-hospital cliche; zombie sagas are always about the reworking of cliches. I was more offended by the cheesy editing during that reveal.

all you Boingers who've supported the book so far will not be disappointed. The effects KNB are doing are top-notch, and the teleplay for the pilot is amazingly faithful to, yet somehow even better than the book. Everything i've seen so far is absolutely surreal.

You combine the Walking Dead with the 1960s advertising style of Mad Men and you have... well, actually, in all likelihood a pretty fun sounding show.

What I want to know is where did the dude who apparently shoots the main character come from? It doesn't look he got out of the car and he doesn't appear to be a cop. He just looks like some random redneck that shows up out of nowhere. Now I'll have to watch the premiere just to find out.

everyone complaining about how this has been done before should definitely read the comic series. there is none (that i have read) that are more brutal, more honest and honestly more frightening (regarding what people will do to live). i cant wait to see this and i hope they stick to the comic well.

The first comic was done before '28 Days Later'- the series has been going for years. It's just amazing how good it is. I don't think I've read a bad issue yet.

The tank part isn't in the book, so I'm interested in how that works out, too.
