Veteran Star Wars action figure modders Sillof & Glorbes have a new series of alternate Star Wars dollies: Star Wars 1942, which reimagines the lovable Star Wars people as Allied bomber crew, and sinister Nazis.

Star Wars 1942 (Thanks, Sayeth, via Submitterator!)

  • Stormtrooper action figure portraits
  • Steampunk Star Wars costumes
  • Steampunk Star Wars modded action figures -- woah!
  • Star Trek original bridge and action figures reissue
  • Star Wars sneakers by Adidas
  • Blueberries transform Yoda into Princess Leia
  • Flickr set for Stitch Wars, Star Wars-theme craft show

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

So the one on the left is the Bear Chew.

He did great work and to be a bit nitpicky, the motorcycle he used is a Harley Davidson. He should’ve used a BMW, NSU, Zundapp or a DKW. Yeah, I know that a BMW would be the easiest.

Fusing WWII and Star Wars aesthetics? Isn’t that kind of redundant?

    • I less than three mermaids

Saying what he said would also be redundant… wasn’t the design already based upon a mashup of kabuki and WWII?

      Still, cool stuff.

I thought that, bearing in mind the Imperial uniforms were old nazi costumes with futuristic enhancements (read: square bits of perspex stuck on).

Whatever, great bit of work by S&G.

    I think these look better:

Don’t tell Rich Iott, he’ll buy up all of the Imperial toys for himself.

  • Donald Petersen

Han and Chewie, at least, have never looked better. I’d pay cash money for those.
