Why does Cory insist on "Hallowe'en" as opposed to "Halloween"?

Curious.

Mmmmm ... octopie.

(I wonder what the plural of that would be.)

@anon #7: Technically, "Hallowe'en" is the proper spelling, since it's a contraction of the holiday's old name: "All Hallows' Even" (i.e. the evening before All Hallows Day -- or All Saints Day -- which falls on 1 November). Nowadays, it's become more common (at least in the United States) to drop the apostrophe, and spell it "Halloween". I'm not entirely sure; but I think the older spelling is still commonly used in Britain, where Cory lives. Either spelling is acceptable; but Cory's spelling is the traditional, and more correct, of the two.

Adding tentacles later in baking would probably lead to more even doneness between the body dough and the tentacle dough.
