In the thrill-a-minute Boing Boing DIY Hallowe'en Costume thread, Boing Boing reader Pea Hix says,

My mom made this amazing Alfred E. Neuman mask from scratch out of Papier-mâché. The bugs have gotten to it a bit over the years, but i plan on wearing it to a party tomorrow nonetheless. Here she is modeling it.

Pea Hix is half of Optiganally Yours, the finest Optigan-based band ever. Their cover of the Herb Alpert smash hit, Spanish Flea, is a masterpiece, and only made better by the fact that they sing the almost-forgotten lyrics.

And, just like The Ramones, they would perform this MUCH faster live in concert.

  • Evil Paul

Wow, it looks so painterly and 2-D, very well done.
