I'm thinking this would make things a bit easier for the elderly, folks with arthritis,etc. And for busy parents of little kids who aren't quite experts at tying their own shoes yet or special kids who still have a little trouble doing it themselves and want to feel independent. I guess it depends on what kinds of shoes you have, though.
