To the contrary I think H.I.B. is a really cool way to donate to some equally cool foundations. Buying something rather than simply donating is much more incentive I think when it's done virtually. When it's coming to "charity" (an inappropriate word IMHO ; I'd prefer calling it "solidarity"), I prefer to donate to someone physically. Donations by check or Paypal via the Internet just give me a good conscience but that's nothing like offering a helping hand (a free meal or something) to someone sleeping in the streets (specially in this period of the year).

And I must add that "Osmos" and the other titles from this bundle are über great pieces of software !!

P.S. : sorry for double posting :o/
That won't happen again. I promise !

I bought the humble indie bundle for twenty bucks and chose to give all my donation to charity (sorry devs), which gave $10 to the EFF, and $10 to these guys who give video games to sick kids. I got like a half a dozen games that run on osx, windows, and linux (linux!!!) that I may play once or twice as a side effect.

In retrospect, it's actually a pretty shitty way to donate to the EFF, but I got some free games that I didn't really want, so hey.
