Worried about juggling your Christmas baking, gift-giving and party-going with the possible zombie apocalypse? This brief instructional video from Team Unicorn has all the information you need to safely and happily enjoy the season without turning into one of the walking dead.

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Sweet! But what about perimeter defense? I’m pretty sure that was standard in Home Ec in the Fifties. At least they wisely left out bomb shelters, which would have become deathtraps under the circumstances.

    my 0.02:
decrease wiggle expression distance on the titles please and adr the intro because it sounds like you used the on-camera mic. other than that and the video copilot muzzle flares and blood gushes…gosh darn it…i like it!

That first gal sure looks a lot like Patty Hearst used to.

I love what they did here. The lighting and filming really was a good copy of that style, so often it seems like the contrast is too weak on faux 50′s films.
Team Unicorn is a group of four girl-geeks that are actual gamers, sci-fi and comic book geeks. One of them is Seth Green’s wife, and with him they made a parody of a Katy Perry song, theirs is called “Geek and Gamer girls.”

The ending is particularly well done!

As far as zombie entertainment goes, this youtube video far outstrips AMC’s slick mega-produced Walking Dead series, which in my opinion drastically failed to live up to expectations. This is outstanding!

vids like this r why I love my daily Boing :-)

  • nkornelis

That was really awesome. The only thing that bothered me were the anachronistic hairstyles.

  • DeWynken

that and the modern day guns. But damn..housewife porn.
