Can you imagine Kevin Garnett refusing to follow the rules of basketball, and deciding he had the right to carry the ball instead of dribbling it? They wouldn't let him play very long. If these sovereign people really want to be sovereign then they have to live outside of society. Move to the wilderness, be totally independent, then I can accept their claims to be sovereign people. But then they have they problem of what to do when their claim to a particular piece of territory conflicts with the claim by another sovereign entity, like the United States government.
